Move and Furniture Coordination

 

Options for the moving and furniture procurement/reuse process are numerous.  The process can be streamlined and costs minimized through early evaluation and key decisions at critical points.

Evaluate

 

  • Establish a scope of services for the mover and furniture contractor(s) based upon volume of materials to be reused, moved, purchased new or discarded

  • Procure move and furniture services to include proper labor jurisdictions, delivery services to site or offsite storage if applicable, adequate labor resources, schedule coordination with building and other project vendors, building coordination, adequate protection of common space and tenant space and insurance requirements

  • Prepare a procurement listing of all new furniture items by location and estimated delivery date

Develop

 

  • Create and manage a staffing and common area “From-To” database by room number to coordinate voice/data extensions, furniture requirements and office locations.

  • Assist the client in establishing artwork and signage requirements and procurement options

  • Establish protocol for employee communications throughout process and implement program

  • Coordinate voice-data requirements and manage exact cutover date with all project vendors

Execute

 

  • Assist client in writing punch-list for each vendor and oversee completion of all required contract work prior to close-out

  • Assist client in closing out vendors including invoice review and audit, insurance verification and punch-list completion prior to final payment
