CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT

 

The construction process can be fraught with complexities that are not apparent at the outset or once the walls are closed. Understanding the many issues and areas where miscommunication may occur saves costly and disruptive changes down the road.
Represent Client

 

  • Represent the client throughout, holding all parties accountable and ensuring the project is on schedule, on budget and meeting quality expectations

  • Continual schedule review to verify compliance with baseline and milestone schedule and take measures to maintain compliance

  • Perform regular reviews of project insurance requirements and ensure compliance

  • Liaison between building management and client team for building coordination, charges and communications

Manage Project

 

  • Review and ensure all project controls are in place; manage during the construction phase including procurement tracking, shop drawing and submittal tracking, RFI’s (Request for Information) and Change Orders.

  • Availability to answer field questions-issues with the assistance of the architect and engineer

  • Review, evaluate, mitigate/negotiate contract change orders with contractors, design professionals and consultants.

Ensure Success

 

  • Perform regular field inspections for quality review, safety review and scheduling compliance

  • Provide regular budget updates to include all project costs from all client contracted vendors with projections for completion

  • Review, validate and approve contractor, consultant and vendor payment applications, including subcontractor requisitions and lien waivers
